Time: 1:24:26 Avg 10:33 Well...our last long run before the race and I wanted to stay with Lysa. We left at 6am and it was pretty chilly. I'm glad I wore long sleeves and my buff band. I seriously cannot believe we're tapering already. I was feeling sad yesterday when I looked at my schedule on the fridge and it's all marked off except one more week. I've loved training for this marathon. I know I can do another, but nothing will be like my first. I'm so excited and nervous. I don't want this experience to be over. I love training and having a schedule and a fitness goal to work toward. I'm running a 10k (Love your body) at Thanksgiving Point in October with my sisters who are trying to get back into shape after babies. I also want to train for the Salt Lake Half (never done it) for next April and my sister Ashley said she might continue on in her training for that after this 10k. I'm hoping we can get my other sister Amber to do it with us too.

That's funny, I was feeling a lot of mixed feelings when I looked at the schedule too. Some sad, some relieved, some grateful and some just kind of weirded out. What did we just do? What are we about to do? I love that you talk about your "next" marathon already. My brain can barely handle the one. The Salt Lake 1/2 was my favorite. Except the end on State Street. But other than that, I really liked that one.

now is the fun part -- to see all the training pay off in the race. you are going to do great.

You both will do fabulously and have a blast AND hopefully be hooked for life. I am going to hunt you two down, you will have to give me wardrobe updates so I can find you (and, Lysa, if you are listening, this time I promise to actually wear what I say I am going to wear!)

The SL half is my absolute favorite as well. I even liked the hill on state street...sick and twisted, I know. Guess I was not running it hard enough or something because a much smaller hill at TOU almost killed me off.

Happy tapering!
